(EN) Brontae Hunter is an actress, singer and writer born and raised on the shores of Lake Huron, and now based in Tiohtì:ake (Montreal). She was embraced by the Canadian folk music community at a young age, and found herself touring across the country playing Celtic and bluegrass music, eventually finding herself as a singer-songwriter. Always pulled by myth, legend and storytelling, Brontae discovered she felt equally at home in the theatre, and has been blessed to work on a wide variety of great scripts, both old and new. In 2018 she created a one woman play entitled 'Even in the Dead of Night,' which explores the lives of modern women in rural Ontario through Shakespearean soliloquies. The play premiered at The York Lane Art Collective in Stratford, Ontario. Her audio drama and début studio album, 'The Jubilant Opus of the Day' was released in October 2021 and she is enjoying the process of performing the project live, and sharing the music with the world. Brontae is a graduate of the acting program at The National Theatre School of Canada.
