This cross-Canada workshop series, funded by Canada Council’s Creative Capacity Program, took place between 2008 and 2009 when Diane Roberts was Artistic Director of Urban Ink Productions. Co-facilitators Heather Hermant, Danielle Smith and Rose Georgeson worked closely with AD Diane Roberts to develop the working methodology of the Arrivals process. The team travelled to Toronto Winnipeg, Calgary, Whitehorse and Vancouver recruiting and engaging artists from diverse Indigenous and cross-cutlural backgrounds. Workshops were hosted by collaborating local partner organisations who were interested in developing the cultural and creative capacity of their communities.
