mud flats and their cracks remind me of our skin and the groves of our beingness

my ancestral home of kemet/nubia/egypt the nile & its banks & the vegetation that grow around her resound with an abundance that resonates with the birth right of vitality

i sat by the red sea in 2023 the waters & the aliveness within healed my body-spirit this is some of what they spoke to & through me

a chance to walk the banks of the nile senses enlivened – a chance to feel into what my ancestors may have felt

I made a mistake in the first recording. Part of this gesture wants to ‘hide’ from the screen. It’s a delay of the head that for me, brings the liminal space into my body. It’s what happens on the “wah” of “hoah.”
